The Rustic Arms is exactly that according to Leeds List, not us!
They describe the top 40 Yorkshire pubs to get away from the city and although that city may be Leeds, there’s no stopping anyone from any other city exploring the Yorkshire countryside. The Rustic Arms figure in that top 40 (we would love to say we are No 5 but we don’t think it’s in any particular order). The ‘List’ describes The Rustic Arms as follows:
About 40 minutes outside of Leeds on the other side of Wakefield is the village of Ackworth, where you’ll find a country pub with possibly the aptest name you’ll come across. The Rustic Arms is set in over an acre of land which makes for a stunning beer garden, enclosed by the countryside and brilliant views of the nearby fishing lake. They have a home-cooked and freshly prepared food menu to tuck into, while the bar has all the usual fare you’ll be after.
We are over the moon to be on such a prestigious list as we have always known our beautiful grounds IN the countryside easily rival some other pubs with “views” of countryside. But then again we aren’t just about the setting as the food is great too.
So, if you’ve never tried us before or have not tried us for a while, ‘come on down, the price is right”. Get some fresh air and find us on a walk or get a designated driver and take a trip out of the city to get some country air and some gastro grub! And even if you’re stuck in the local area, there’s a well known search engine (other search engines are available…) to help you find a “Pub near me”.
